​Bangladesh Scouts national scouting organization of Bangladesh, started its journey in this country as the 'East Bengal Scout Association', was founded in Dhaka under the leadership of the elderly scouter Salimullah Fahmi on 22 May of 1948. After the liberation, from all over the country met in Dhaka on 8-9 April 1972 scout leaders decided to form an organization called 'Bangladesh Scouts Samity'. On 9 September 1972, the Samity got the Government's recognition. Scouting had continued in this region till 1971 by the efforts of AFM Abdul Haque Faridi, HGM Biver, VA Abbasi, VC Prince, Aziz-ul Haque, Commandant Abdur Rashid, M Abdul Bari, M Wazid Ali and host of others. The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) recognized Bangladesh Scout Samity as its 105th member- State on 1 June 1974. However, the name of the Samity was changed to 'Bangladesh Scouts' in the 5th National Scout Council held on 18 June 1978. Meanwhile, the Council opened the girl-in-scouting in its 2nd meeting on 24 March 1994 to give the opportunity to the girls with the permission from the WOSM.

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এসে দীর্ঘ দিনের পথচলার মাঝে অনেকের সাথে পরিচিত হওয়া,বন্ধুত্ব কিংবা জীবনের নানা গল্পের স্মৃতি তৈরি করেছি কিন্তু নিজের এলাকার কাউকে সেভাবে পাওয়া হয়নি ।সেই সুযোগটি করে দিয়েছে বড় ভাইদের আন্তরিক প্রচেষ্টায় প্রিয় এই সংগঠনটি । সেই ভাইদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা এবং নিজের জায়গা থেকে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকে নিজের সবটুকু দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করবো ।সকলের আন্তরিকতায় ।

হয়তো পারিনি নিজের সর্ব্বোচটা দিতে , কিন্তু চেষ্টা করিছি তবুও কিছু আক্ষেপ রয়েই গিয়েছে নিজের মত করে পারিনি সময় দিতে । সামনে যারা নেতৃত্বে আসবে তাঁদের জন্য শুভকামনা ও ভালোবাসা রইলো। সংগঠনের প্রতি সহযোগিতার হাতটা সবসময় প্রসারিত থাকবে ইনশাল্লাহ যেকোন সময়ে।
